2 Peter 3:9-11

^9 (A)The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but ^(B)is patient toward you, ^(C)not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

A New Heaven and Earth

¹⁰ But ^(D)the day of the Lord ^(E)will come like a thief, in which ^(F)the heavens ^(G)will pass away with a roar and the ^(H)elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and ^(I)the earth and ^[a]its works will be ^[b]burned up.

¹¹ Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
